About Olly
Hey there, my name’s Olly, I’m 16, and I love the outdoors.
Hiking, skiing, mountain biking, kayaking… you name it, chances are I’ll enjoy it. In particular, hiking has grown on me over the last year to the point where I spend nearly every weekend in the backcountry.
I currently live in Tauranga, only a 20 minute drive from the Kaimai Mamaku Forest Park.
Having no driver’s license or car has put me in the position of having to hike the same 80km stretch of track over and over again. While some people might see this as a limitation, I have started to appreciate this and how it makes me much more knowledgeable about the Kaimai’s.
