3 km • 1.5 hours one way • Easy • Once you reach Huka Falls there are plenty of different viewing points to watch the water rush through the tight ravine of sheer rock cliffs, creating a canal of big churning rapids.
4.7 kms • 3 Hours return full walk or 15 mins from Leslie Rd • Very Easy • 5 km North of Putaruru.
Walk or bike the Kawakawa Bay Track from Kinlock up and over the hill down into Kawakawa Bay, 20 km drive from Taupo. Also part of the Great Lake Trail.
12 km • 3 hours • Easy Loop Walk • Excellent loop walk from the clifftop to the beach with fantastic beach views along the way.
5 kms • 3-5 hours return • Medium to hard walk, but well worth it for the stunning views over the Waikato from the top of the waterfall. Wairere Falls are near Matamata.
14 kms • 2 Hours • Very Easy
26 kms • 2 Hours 15 Minutes • Very Easy
0.30 kms • 20 Minutes • Medium • The Bridal Veil Falls walk is a short day walk close to Raglan.
6 km • 2.5 to 3 hours • Medium to hard. Our Pinnacles walk took us all day, hiking to the Pinnacles lookout summit past the very cool Pinnacles hut.
