1.9 km, 1 hour and 10 minutes medium walk. We enjoyed excellent views of Wellington harbour and the city from Mt Victoria lookout. Starting in Wellington city you’ll walk in and out of historic pine forests and past stunning old villa’s built on the hillside. It’s a hike up to the top but well worth it for the views.
3.40 km • 1 Hour 30 Minutes • Easy to medium walking on a pretty good track in summer. Can get a bit slippy in the rain. Located in Castlepoint, 1 hour drive from Masterton.
3.70 kms • 50 Minutes • Easy • Sinclair Head fur seal colony is just a short 45 minute drive from down town Wellington then a short walk along the coastline. There is no way you can lose your way on this unmarked track as you are always within 20m of the sea all the way to the seals.
1.30 kms • 1 Hour return walk on an excellent track • Easy • 1 hour drive from Masterton in the Wellington Region.
2 km • 2 Hours • Easy • Excellent wide walking track. Wilton’s Bush Reserve Walk is wheelchair-friendly and runs from the main car park to the Information Centre, over the Canopy Walkway, and to Cockayne Lookout in Wellington.
4.5 km • 2 Hour • Easy • Starting at Tarakena Bay, head up hill to the Ataturk Memorial and enjoy sweeping views over the south coast of Miramar Peninsula. The Eastern Walkway will take you through native bush then loop back with an easy stroll along the coastline beach from Breaker Bay back to the start.
