Raglan is one of those places that rewards slow travel. The surf town itself is small enough to walk around in a morning, but the coast and bush around it keep you busy for days. I’ve walked all of these and written them up properly.

There’s something here for most levels. The 3 Bridges Loop and Kaitoke Walkway are flat and easy, good for a first morning or a shorter day. The Cliff Top to Beach Walk is a proper half-day out. Bridal Veil Falls is short but worth it. Ngarunui Track and Wainui Reserve fill in the gaps around the beach.

Getting to Raglan is straightforward on SH23 from Hamilton, about 40 minutes. Bus 23 runs daily from Hamilton to Bow Street in town.
