It is a 44 km or a 50 minutes drive to Wenderholm Regional Park Beach from Auckland city. Take the Northern Hwy to Whangarei and the Hibiscus Coast. There is a new to bypass Orewa, but I would take the turnoff into Orewa it is a better drive along the coastline then the Hwy. Once pasted Orewa you will drive up and over the hill to Waiwera. You then drive across the Waiwera river bridge. Now 400m ahead on the right is the turn off to Wenderholm Regional Park Beach.
