Short easy track from Mansion House to the point
You’ll need to either catch the ferry or arrive by your own boat at Mansion House Bay to start this walk. The ferry departs from Sandspit daily at 10:30 am and returns from Mansion House at 2 pm. Sandspit Wharf is located approximately 50 minutes drive north of Auckland, via Warkworth. You can book the ferry here and save up to 50% if you’re willing to go at a quieter time.
You can take a tour through Mansion House if it’s open, which it usually is when the ferry comes in.
It’s a short walk out to the point starting from Mansion House. If you come by ferry, then the house might be open for you to take a tour. To be honest, this walk is a bit average and the views at the point weren’t that great, however, it’s a nice walk through some lovely flowers and a bit of bush.
Visit the nearby cafe for a coffee or ice cream.
