5 km • 1 Hour • Easy • Churchill Park is one of a few walks in Auckland that does not have much shelter, so it was a great day to get into the park, with a pleasantly warm sun and no rain.
45 min walk • Easy • Check tides • Tahuna Torea is a beautiful nature reserve and wetland (salt marsh and freshwater habitat) in Glendowie, East Auckland.

The Cascade Walkway – 7.5km of shared paths between Meadowland Drive and Lloyd Elsmore Park, Pakuranga – 1 hour 15 mins.
Part of our Pakuranga Loop Walk is along the Pakuranga Rotary Walkway which extends to Pigeon Mountain, along the Tamaki Estuary and Whakaaranga Creek.
Today we set out to explore another part of the Pakuranga Rotary Walkway, this time taking a loop behind Saint Kentigern College and through Manor Park.
We have now added a fourth loop walk taking in the wonderful Pakuranga Rotary walkway.
Half Moon Bay was bathed in sunshine this morning – very welcome after a week of rain.
This walk at Half Moon Bay explores the parks and reserves to the east, and then heads down to Eastern Beach.
It continues to amaze us how the distances between places seem shorter when we are out walking compared to driving.
This short loop walk exploring the reserves from Botany Town Centre to Dannemora is suitable for people who work at Botany Town Centre and enjoy a short walk in their breaks, families with young children (playground, ducks) and dog owners.
