There is a variety of walks through the mature native bush at Murphys Bush with stands of Kahikatea, Puriri, Totara and Rimu, as well as groves of nikau palms.
Sir Barry Curtis Park in Flatbush was farmland and some of the farm’s old stone walls remain.

We are not familiar with the Tamaki and Glen Innes area, so today was our first walk and explore arount Mt Wellington at Point England Reserve.
This walk around the base of the Mount Wellington volcano explores the Stonefields residential development, the Maungarei Springs Wetland and the businesses along Lunn Avenue.
The walk along Conifer Grove Esplanade offers views across Manukau Harbour north to Wattle Downs and south to Karaka.

The Clevedon Reserve Stairway to Heaven walk in Papakura is dog friendly, with huge native trees, views, birdlife & quarry environment.
