Beach Haven is where I escape to connect with nature and unwind. Shepherds Park offers tranquillity, while Eskdale Reserve brings bushwalks alive. The beach beckons for refreshing shoreline strolls, and Chelsea Estate Heritage Park is really interesting.

8 km • 1.5 hours • Easy • Ōrewa Estuary Path is a great loop walk on an excellent wide concrete track made for walkers and bikers. When the tide is in you’ll enjoy lovely views around the whole track.

Today we set out to explore the Bayview area near Glenfield on Auckland’s North Shore. What a wonderful surprise to find a beautiful bush walk, alongside the Upper Harbour reaches, all part of the Glenfield Coastal Walkway.
We returned to Bayview on the North Shore to complete a circular walk in a different direction to our previous Bayview Coast and Bush Walk.
The clifftop and beach loop walks starting at Campbells Bay and taking in Mairangi Bay, and Murrays Bay and part of Rothesay Bay on Auckland’s North Shore provide stunning views over the Hauraki Gulf and Islands.

It was a treat to walk along Kiwi Esplanade (Mangere Bridge) at high tide in the sunshine this morning.
The Weymouth Walkway south of Auckland, is a mainly flat (suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs), concrete paved path that follows the coastline of Manukau Harbour and the Puhinui Creek mangrove forest inlet.
It was low tide this morning as we walked around the Pahurehure Inlet at Papakura.
This stunning walk surprised as we set out to discover an original walkway today.
The Unsworth Heights to Rosedale Park walkway is a spectacular ‘there & back’ walk with many activities and options for variety to make it a loop.
Starting by the West Harbour Marina, the West Harbour Loop walk is fully paved, winds through wonderful bush and provides stunning views over the water back to Auckland city.
